Over the past months COVID-19 has propelled innovation in Switzerland with actors across various sectors countering the pandemic with new ideas and product/service innovations.
We have taken our annual Soirée Suisse to the virtual world and welcome you to join us on this journey over the next four weeks. Switzerland is a country with a vibrant medical technology (medtech) sector. As a result, Swiss companies and research institutions have been at the forefront of many innovative initiatives and inventions to counter the Covid-19 pandemic. Many Swiss companies and institutions have attracted broad media attention — from large companies such as Roche and Novartis, to academic institutions like ETHZ and EPFL, to small start-ups.
“The Big Picture” is an infographics series that highlights some of the Swiss R&D projects and initiatives that have resulted from the Covid-19 crisis. We take a closer look at artificial intelligence, business adaptations, Covid-19 test, Covid-19 treatment, hackathons, medical ventilators and protective equipment.
