While we’ve already learned about how Switzerland has been adapting during the times of Covid-19, we want to continue by elaborating on why we innovate and the immediate-and long-term impacts of innovation.

Over the past several months, the word “unprecedented” has often been used to describe this period. However, the increase in innovation during this crisis is by no means unprecedented. In fact, throughout history, some of the world’s most productive innovations and social changes have emerged from crises. Exploring past innovations provides a global and historical perspective, and gives us the tools to grow and emerge stronger than before.

Companies around the world, including many Swiss firms were quick to adapt their business strategies based on the current needs and demands of the ongoing crisis. While some companies such as Firmenich and Givaudan adapted the production of their manufacturing sites due to the high demand for a disinfectant solution to limit the spread of coronavirus other Swiss companies including Akris, Aquanetto, F&P Robotics, have also found other ways to support the fight against the pandemic.

Covid-19 has sparked innovation in many different fields and at many different levels. It’s no surprise that people quarantining and practicing safe social distancing also want to be entertained. In hopes of helping you take your mind off the new norm, we want to share two innovative forms of entertainment with you.
